We are searching for an experienced JavaScript Developer to join our outstanding Web Development team. Within the team, you will play a key role in ensuring delivery of IOHK web assets – these assets provide the means by which the public interacts with our products and the efforts of the business as a whole.As a team we’re already strong on the core frontend stack and also design, interaction patterns, accessibility and UI/UX. Whilst we’re looking for someone who ‘gets’ all this, we are really after someone who lives and breathes JavaScript and Node.js. Using libraries such as React and Styled Components, with cutting-edge knowledge of frontend technologies such as GraphQL and the Jamstack, you will complement our team by bridging the gap between our web frontends and the backend technologies used by the wider business.LocationIOHK is a fully distributed organization and therefore this is a remote position.Your mission
Build reusable, well-commented code and libraries that are optimized for speed and scalability. Bring your passion to developing and optimizing our current stack (React, Gatsby SSG, Netlify, GitHub, JavaScript, Node.js). Implement and maintain CMS systems used on static sites. Work with developers across devops, Rust and Haskell teams to define and build frontends for their work. Build prototypes for fast turnaround test implementations or proofs of concepts.
Your expertise
Completion of a relevant degree such as computer science or software engineering, or equivalent experience. Experience of working in a fast-paced environment where you regularly ship public-facing web assets. Experience of working as part of a team, often on parts of a larger project and collaborating with others.Europe
